Tripplit is provided "as is" and we strive for 99.9% uptime, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

3. User Eligibility

To use Tripplit, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old
  • Legal Capacity: You must be legally capable of forming binding contracts
  • Geographic Restrictions: Service available worldwide (subject to local laws)
  • Account Integrity: You must provide accurate information when requested
🔞 Minors (13-18 years old)

If you are under 18, you should have parental or guardian supervision when using financial applications. Parents are responsible for monitoring their minor children's use.

Prohibited Users: You may not use Tripplit if you have been previously banned or if your use violates any applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Usage Guidelines

Tripplit is designed for legitimate expense sharing. Here's what you can and cannot do:

  • Account Security: Protect access to your trips and report unauthorized use

  • Reasonable Usage: Use the service for its intended purpose without excessive automation
  • Resource Limits: Don't overwhelm our servers with excessive requests
  • Respectful Behavior: Treat other users and support staff with respect
  • Legal Compliance: Follow all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

You are solely responsible for all expenses and settlements within your groups. Tripplit is a calculation tool only - we do not process payments or verify expense legitimacy.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Tripplit for any of the following purposes:

Violations may result in immediate termination of access, deletion of data, and potential legal action. We may also report illegal activities to appropriate authorities.

Your Rights

  • Limited License: You may use Tripplit for personal and commercial expense sharing

📄 Open Source Components

Tripplit uses some open source libraries and components. These remain subject to their respective licenses and are not covered by our proprietary rights.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

💰 Damage Cap

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid for premium features (if any) in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Exceptions: This limitation doesn't apply to liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence where prohibited by law.

10. Termination

Your Rights

  • Stop Using: You can stop using Tripplit at any time without notice
  • Delete Data: You can delete your trips and associated data anytime
  • Data Export: You can export your data before termination
